The Deputy of Performance Evaluation (DPE) in BAPPENAS (the national planning ministry) was established in November 2007. DPE is in charge of establishing and implementing a government-wide M&E system; providing guidance, policy coordination and necessary regulations; and implementing a limited number of external impact evaluations. To support this program, the World Bank Office in Jakarta is recruiting for the position of:

M & E SPECIALIST (ETC)

The applicant should possess the following qualifications:

1. Master degree or higher in Finance, Economics or relevant subject
2. At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Monitoring and Evaluation
3. Proven ability to drive results in Indonesia institutions
4. Able to work effectively as a member of a team; particularly in the Indonesia context; with the ability to lead a team of professionals in the execution of major projects and to coach, mentor and develop more junior staff
5. Ability to deal sensitively in multi-cultural environments and build effective working relations with clients and colleagues; strong references from previous international development projects will be given high weight in the selection process
6. Excellent oral and writing skills in English; native Bahasa Indonesia skills
